A doctor is selling his home - and throwing in his Porsche as part of the deal.

John Bradley's three-bedroom house in Milford on Sea has been on the market for four months with no sign of selling.

So the 53-year-old came up with the novel idea of offering his beloved £20,000 Porsche Boxster free with the sale of the property.

Whoever buys the clifftop home "at or very near" the asking price will get the keys of the silver sports car.

Dr Bradley, an ortho-paedic engineer, said he felt that he needed to offer the incentive after a slowdown in the property market led to interest in his house waning. He has also just moved into a townhouse and no longer has the space to park the vehicle.

Dr Bradley said: "I wanted to create a bit of an incentive for somebody to buy it because, the fact is, I put the house on the market a few months ago and haven't sold it.

"The car is worth about £20,000. It is a lovely car but I haven't got the room to park it now in my new house.

"I would hope the offer of a free Porsche would be a great selling point. The car is thrown in if the house sells at or very near to the asking price."

Dr Bradley, a father-of-two, moved into the property in Cliff Road two years ago. The large detached house includes a lounge and dining room - with stunning views of The Needles at the Isle of Wight - a study, a playroom and an attic room.

It has a separate triple garage block and sweeping gravel drive on which sits the 2003 Porsche, which has only 14,000 miles on the clock.

The property, called Scholars Retreat, is on the market at £1.275m.

Dr Bradley said: "The main reason I am selling it is my children are teenagers now and they wanted to be in a town and not so out of the way, so we moved to Lymington.

"In my heart of hearts I wanted to live in an older property and moved into a Georgian townhouse.

"Unfortunately it is probably the wrong time to be selling a clifftop property. It stands a better chance of selling in the summer months when the views of The Needles look gorgeous."

He added: "The Porsche was always a second car for me. It was great fun to drive and great to have.

"It is a luxury car that goes with a luxury house.

"But if somebody wanted to buy the house and not have the car then I am open to negotiate the sale price and I would get rid of the car myself."

Jeremy Caldwell, of Caldwells Estate Agents in Lymington, said: "It is a rather unusual selling point.

"I have dealt with properties before where the lawnmower is thrown in with the sale but this is by far the most valuable item a vendor is prepared to offer as free."
