THINGS are looking bright for a group of Scouts in Highfield.
Their dilapidated Scout hut, off Brookvale Road, was transformed by volunteers from IBM Hursley.
Fifteen members of staff gave up a day at the office to paint the hut which is used as a meeting hall for the 14th Southampton (Highfield) Scout Group.
The employees exchanged computers for paintbrushes to tackle the project as part of IBM's Community Challenge scheme.
Dull and peeling paint work at the hut - which is also used by Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Beavers and other community groups - was replaced with a gleaming orange, pink and white colour scheme.
Scout leader Nico Chart (main picture) with the IBM team was delighted with the colourful results.
