AN Itchen valley catering firm beat off competition to land the contract to provide food at the British Comedy Awards hosted by Jonathan Ross.
Creative Catering, from Easton, won the work for the second year running for the bash which was screened on Saturday.
The catering included a pre-show canapé party for 500, then some 800 at the live TV awards, and finishing with a lively after show party for 500.
Ten chefs and 40 waiting staff were led by the Creative Catering management team to ensure the event ran smoothly.
As a member of Hampshire Fare, Creative Catering again sourced local Hampshire produce to use for the event including the very popular Purely Hampshire ice cream, from Alresford, Hampshire meat from Robert Owton butchers, West End, smoked trout from Avington farm fisheries and Lyburn cheeses.
Kaye Thompson, director of Creative Catering, founded in 1989, said: “I was delighted our company was chosen above the many other catering companies that are out there, especially being chosen over the more well-known London based caterers.”
