Hi Craig. What are you up to?

"Right now I'm actually on my way to downtown LA in the car for rehearsals."

How's it going?

It's going super good! We've learned some new covers for the tour! They're awesome but I'm going to keep them a surprise!"

Are you looking forward to going out on tour? Do you really relish the chance?

"Yes, I love going out on tour. I love making music, going out and playing it for people. It's the best thing."

What are the best and worst things about being out on the road?

"The best thing would have to be getting to meet people that like our music. The worst thing is just missing home."

How do you find English crowds?

"I love English audiences. The second show we did in London on our last tour was hands-down our best show in Europe, if not our best show ever. UK fans are a little bit smarter about music than other places. People do their homework. They know a little bit more about the music."

We can look forward to Southampton Guildhall on the last night of your UK tour. What can we expect from the show?

"We'll be at the top of the game at the end of the tour. You can expect a great show."

What's on your rider?

"We're not that crazy! There's just regular stuff, food and drink. We don't have anything outrageous. We have a toothbrush though because Mark Hoppus likes to brush his teeth before we go on stage!"

Any onstage mishaps?

"Fortunately no, we haven't had too many of those. The only thing I can think of is once someone got on stage with us. Security were a bit overzealous and I ended up getting knocked over!"

How did the name come about?

"Travis and Mark were on their last tour with Blink (182). They had to use that international dialling code everywhere and thought it would be a cool name for a band or project. They had talked about doing something because things there had turned sour. I like it because it doesn't really pigeonhole the music into one genre. It's really ambiguous. I guess they have a fascination with numbers!"

And how did you get involved?

"I had played live guitar with Travis and he needed a guitar player. He looked me up. He had me in the band after an hour or two!"

Who would you most like to perform alongside?

"The Clash. Yeah, Joe Strummer and Johnny Cash, I think!"

Sum yourselves up in one sentence

"Mmm that's a tough one. We rule.' That's it!"

What's next for you?

"I believe we're home for about ten days. Then we go to Australia and Japan for three weeks. We've started to write now so we'll carry on while we're on the road. It'll be so much fun. Then we'll go back in the studio."
