Town centre streaker arrested

POLICE arrested a man who was seen running through a Hampshire town centre.

The streaker was spotted outside Strides Cycles in Commercial Road, Totton, shortly after 6.30am yesterday.

One eyewitness said: "I was just driving along when I saw this man running down the street stark naked.

"I thought I must have been drinking too much last night!

"The man was running down the street, holding himself to protect his dignity.

"It certainly wasn't what I was expecting to see at that time of the morning."

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said the man, in his late 20s, had been reported to them by a motorist who was concerned for his welfare.

He was arrested shortly after 7am in nearby Salisbury Road and was detained under the Mental Health Act.

Wrong - it's just that there was no bra for your tackle. Women do the same.

NAKED? The shame.

Just imagine if he had done something actually obscene.

His a tip Rosie, underneath everyone's clothes - including your own - is a naked person. I know this might repulse you, but it's nature.

Get over it and quit your whining.

Who said it was fun for everyone? It was fun for the guy doing it. Well done on bringing out the old "won't somebody please think of the children!" nonsense though. I owe myself a tenner over that one

Bullying? All he's done is pointed out the flaw in your post. Your response? Calling him names. Who's the bully now?

But nakedness is wrong and dirty. Personally, I hate the human naked body, so I think everyone else should be the same, and make sure kids grow up emotionally stunted by knowing this

Rosie you have some serious issues. If children did see this man they probably didn't take much notice, they must of seen thier mum and dad naked before. Your just a prude old woman. I never knew a naked body could make someone blush......... May we suggest that naked new borns are not shown on t.v anymore it may cause Rosie some offence.

We had a local granny streaking through Victoria Rd last summer. Two old codgers sitting on the bench "Ere - was that Mabel just went by?"

"Aye"

"What was she wearing?"

"Dunno - but it wanted ironing!"
