Thug in Basingstoke flat had a weapon and gold teeth

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after thugs with knives threatened the occupants of a flat in the Brighton Hill area of Basingstoke.

The incident happend shortly before 2pm on October 4, at a flat in Tallis Gardens.

After making threats, the thugs ran off towards the rear of Tallis Gardens, onto Cumberland Avenue and out of sight.

The first man is described as black, aged in his late 20s, about 5ft 6ins and of a medium build. He was clean shaven and had gold teeth.

The second man is described as black, aged in his early 20s, about 6ft and of a skinny build. He had stubble on his face.

PC Richard Chegwidden said: “Due to the serious circumstances in relation to this incident, I would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about it.

“If you saw the offenders running from the scene or anything suspicious in the area, please contact me.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Chegwidden at Basingstoke Police Station on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.

A 24-year-old man from Basingstoke and a 25-year-old man from Farnborough were arrested in connection with this incident, but have since been released with no further action.
