Video will educate drivers on how to react to emergency service vehicles
7:30am Wednesday 31st October 2012 in News By Chris Gregory
DRIVERS are being encouraged to educate themselves about how to react when they spot blue lights in their rear view mirror.
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is encouraging motorists to learn by watching a specially-made video.
The video, produced by the GEM Motoring Assist road safety charity, offers advice to members of the public on how best to help any emergency service drivers en route to emergencies while keeping themselves safe and within the law.
Jon Porter, driving standards manager at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We fully support the creation of this public information video.”
