Basingstoke hospital warning over 'raffle' scam
1:00pm Monday 31st December 2012 in News By Helen Morton
RESIDENTS are being warned to beware of falling victim to a scam where a telephone caller says they have won a raffle, organised by Basingstoke hospital, and asks for bank details to pay the prize.
Hospital trust chief executive Mary Edwards said: “We have no connection to these phone calls and I am disappointed to hear that our name is being used in this way, particularly at this time of year. I urge anyone who receives a call like this not to give any details and to report it to the police.”

stoptheamwaytoolscamIs this the same Amway which was selling household cleaning projects in the 80's? I was approached by friends to become a distributor but I declined because it seemed to me to be a pyramid selling scheme. I think it was rigged to avoid being illegal but it must have sailed very close to the wind.

Another scam everyone should be aware of is the Amway Tool Scam. Google "Stop The Amway Tool Scam Wordpress" for more information, and forward this to every non-Distributor/IBO you know, so they don't get scammed.
On the lead story - when are people going to learn that you do not ever divulge information which will give others access to your bank accounts?
