Two dead following Whitchurch crash

TWO people have died following a crash in Whitchurch this morning.
Police are currently at the scene of the two-car accident in Twinley Lane – close to the junction with Roman Road - which happened at 6.44am this morning.
The female driver of a silver Renault Clio and a male driver of a green Ford Mondeo were pronounced dead at the scene.
Roman Road is closed from its junction with Old Newbury Road and the B3051 while the vehicles are recovered and collision investigators examine the scene.
Police have not yet released the names of the drivers as the next of kin are being informed.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle shortly prior to it is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting Operation Mellphone.
