Rain pours into School after lead theft in Stockbridge
TWO men wearing dark hooded clothing are believed to be responsible for the theft of lead the roof of Stockbridge Primary School.
The theft was discovered on January 28, when rain poured through the roof, causing further damage to the premises. No children were at the school at the time of the leaks.
The men were seen in the school grounds just before 3am on January 19.
Police also believe the Stockbridge school theft may be connected to the theft lead from the roof of King’s Somborne Primary School between 9am Friday and 8am Monday, January 18 – 21.
Police are appealing to any witnesses or any scrap dealers who were offered lead after the thefts to contact PC Simon Beecroft of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team or Police Community Support Officer Sophie Downie at Stockbridge on 101.
