Handbag and power tools stolen from Burghclere home
11:52am Friday 8th February 2013 in News By Emily Roberts, Chief Reporter
BURGLARS stole a handbag, power tools, mobile phone and school bag after gaining entry to a house through an insecure door.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in on February 5 between 2am and 7am in Beachfield, Burghclere. The stolen school bag was later found by a dog walker in Jonathan Hill car park.
PC Steven Kettle, from Basingstoke police station, said: “Did you see anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident? I would also like to remind people to double check that you have locked your windows and doors before you go to bed at night so as not to allow easy access to your home by an opportunistic thief.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Kettle at Basingstoke police station on 101.
