Double theft at building site
2:18pm Friday 8th February 2013 in News
A BUILDING site was targeted by thieves twice in less than a week.
Overnight on Monday, 21 January and into Tuesday, 22 January, offenders entered the site on Clover Lane, Durrington. They loaded propane gas cylinders and drain covers onto a flatbed lorry and drove off.
And at about 8pm on Sunday, 26th January, offenders stole an amount of diesel.
Officers are treating the incidents as linked and an investigation is underway.
PCSO Scott Young said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has any information regarding either of these incidents.
“The site closes at 6pm each day and I would urge anyone who sees activity there after this time to call police and help prevent any further crimes.”
Anyone with information should contact PCSO Young at Amesbury Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
