Tools stolen from vans
2:23pm Friday 8th February 2013 in News
TWO vans were broken into as they were parked in Andover.
The Mercedes Sprinter vans were parked in Bentall Place and Old Winton Road when they were targeted between 6pm on Monday, 4 February and 8.30am on Tuesday, 5 February. Having forced entry, the offender(s) stole a large quantity of tools from each van estimated to be worth £5,000.
Pc David Mills, from Andover police station, said: “Were you in the area and did you see anything suspicious? Have you been offered tools for sale?
“You should remove all tools and valuables from your vehicles at night and mark your tools so that they can be easily identified if recovered by police.”
Anyone with information about the incident should contact Pc Mills at Andover police station by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call the police on 18001 101. Information can also be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
