Four cars involved in Aldermaston Road crash

A FOUR-car collision in Basingstoke led to widespread tailbacks this morning.
Police closed a lane on the A340 Aldermaston Road by Basingstoke Hospital after being called at 7.48am.
The incident involved a Vauxhall panel van, a Mazda 2, a Citroen C1, and a Toyota Avensis.
A police spokeswoman said no injuries had been reported and the incident was cleared by 9.20am.
Tailbacks spilled onto the A339 ring road due to slow moving traffic at the Aldermaston Road roundabout.
