Valuable bike stolen in Andover
9:33am Monday 18th February 2013 in News
TWO bikes left locked to lamp posts in Andover were stolen between 8pm and 8.45pm on Monday, 11 February in Bridge Street.
One of the bikes has since been recovered by police but a black Marin Quake bike is still outstanding. The bike is valued at around £3,000 and is of a high specification.
PC Patrick Coveney from Andover police station said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about the theft of these two bikes. “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in Bridge Street at the time of the incident or did you see the bikes being ridden away?”
A 22-year-old man from Andover has been arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until 10 April.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Coveney at Andover police station by phoning 101.
