Robbers target cyclists in Basingstoke

TWO thugs ordered cyclists to get off their bikes during a Basingstoke street robbery.
The crime took place in Old Reading Road, Basing View, at 11pm on Friday, February 15.
An 18-year-old victim was riding his bike when two men walked towards him and blocked his path.
As they told him to get off his bike, another 17-year-old cyclist rode up to the group. He was also ordered to get off his bike.
The two men then got on the bikes and rode through Basing View towards Oakridge.
Both robbers are described as aged 18 to 21 and wore dark clothing.
The first robber is described as black, of stocky build and had short, black hair. The second robber was of skinny build, had short, brown hair.
Detective Constable Marcus Baker said: “It’s believed there may have been people standing outside Poison around the time of this incident who may have seen something.”
