Will our school be safe?

COUNCIL planners have dismissed fears that dust particles from a proposed grain drier and store will cause harm to nearby schoolchildren.

The owners and managers of Eastover Farm have submitted plans to build a football-pitch sized installation near to Abbotts Ann C of E Primary School fuelling fears about air and noise pollution.

When naturalist Chris Packham opened the school two and a half years ago he praised the fact that children could hear skylarks from the playground in his address.

Now its pupils may have to cope with the noise of the fans keeping the grain dry and the dust as a result of the operation.
