HAMPSHIRE County Council is considering a move to support schools wishing to participate in the entrepreneurship programme run by Young Enterprise.
Young Enterprise is a charity which delivers a national enterprise education programme through schools, including some in Hampshire.
The programme includes two specific parts, Entrepreneurship Masterclasses and the Young Enterprise Company Programme.
These see children work with entrepreneurs through different challenges and inspire students to turn ideas into action while developing market research skills, developing a business plan, trading and competing.
Both elements are supported by volunteer mentors from Hampshire-based companies, increasing valuable interaction between young people and those from the world of business.
If the council supports the programme an allocation of £100,000 will be made available, with schools able to apply for £10,000 each to go towards the Young Enterprise programme.
