Young boy has scooter stolen

A FATHER has spoken of his six-year-old son’s anguish after his new scooter was stolen.

Steve Myhill is appealing for help from the public after the ‘Slam’ scooter was taken from the side of his shed in River Way, Andover, overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

The red scooter, which has white handlebars and red handle grips, was a Christmas present for his son.

Steve said that his son’s friend, aged six-years-old, also had both of his scooters stolen from his home in River Way on Sunday.

He told the Advertiser: “One scooter, which was a little older, which was his birthday present last year was blue and white and what is known as a JD Bug type and his newest – which was a his Christmas present also – was what is known as an MGP type. This was black with green wheels.

“Between me and my friend, we have two very upset little children and have now lost nearly £300 worth of scooters.

“On both occasions these scooters were taken from our properties on River Way within a stone’s throw away from one another.

“If anyone may have seen or knows anything, please get in touch.”
