A SCHOOLBOY may see his artwork become part of a road safety campaign.
Seven-year-old Owen Riddett won a competition at Newlands Primary School in Southampton to design a poster to encourage motorists to drive slower near his school.
His design, featuring a blue car with a cross through it, was chosen from designs by about 300 children at the school for its clear message.
The poster may be used in a campaign by the Maybush Triangle Residents’ Association to lower the speed limit in the area to 20mph.
Owen will also receive a T-shirt printed with his winning design.
Runners-up were Courtney Morgan, Tasmin Akter, Katie Harris and Neo Weaver, who all won an Easter egg.
