WILKO’S Andover store on Bridge Street has raised more than £500 for the Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal during a back to school fundraiser.
Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal is the store’s regional charity of the year and team members swapped their work uniforms for school ties and pigtails in support of the charity raising £570.
The team also increased awareness of Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal by giving away a back to school hamper to help get the kids ready for the new school year.
Ian Chamberlain, store manager, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the goodwill of team members and customers alike during our back to school event.
“We’re really happy with the total raised and we hope it makes a positive difference to Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal and the families it helps.”
Pam Marshall, founder, trustee and secretary at Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal, said: “Donations like this help us to keep our charity going and it’s fantastic to have support from Wilko in Andover.
