A HAIRDRESSER fears he is the subject of a personal vendetta as his property has been vandalised four times in the last month.
The latest attack saw the windows at Alan Babey's hairdressing salon in Hamble vandalised leaving egg-sized holes punched in them. And on three separate occasions at the end of November, the tyres on his car were skewered.
The damage at the salon - Clippers of Hamble - has been valued at about £2,000 and it cost Alan nearly £200 to replace his tyres. But it's not just the financial cost he is counting. He has been left feeling anxious about what might happen next.
Alan, who lives in Romsey, told the Daily Echo: "I feel absolutely gutted. It's not a nice thing to happen just before Christmas.
"The trouble is that I just don't know what else might occur - I can sense this is a personal grudge against me and someone is obviously trying to frighten me. Every day, I come out and check mine and my wife's car tyres. It's like I'm being terrorised."
The 54-year-old grandfather of one has owned the salon in Coronation Parade for a year and has never had trouble before.
He said: "It looks like a catapult has been aimed at the door and windows and stones fired hard at them. People are always quick to blame the youngsters, but I have got a very good rapport with them here - they come in and get their hair cut and I don't think it's them that have done the damage."
