A MINI-ROUNDABOUT in the centre of Tidworth, which has been causing problems for motorists for months has been roundly condemned on all sides by county, district and town councillors.
Cllr Steve Dagger, told the town council that the roundabout just to the south of the filling station was continuing to cause trouble for traffic - more than six months after it was put in.
Mr Dagger, who runs the nearby post office, carries out a safety audit' each time he pops out of his shop - and he's shocked at what he sees during his breaks.
"Last week there was another accident at the roundabout," he said.
"You see people overtaking on the roundabout while others go the wrong way around it; it needs sorting out."
Cllr Andrew Connolly, added: "The roundabout looks as if it was designed in an office by people who have never seen the site.
"The county council should come back to correct it as it should never have been designed this way."
Even the local county councillor Mark Connolly had to agree.
"On the ground this doesn't really work and makes the county council look stupid," he said.
