WINCHESTER firefighters had their first call with the new Hampshire air ambulance following a crash near Stockbridge.
A Winchester crew was called to the B3049 near Up Somborne after the crash involving a car at about 4.30pm on Monday (July 3).
The car had ended on its side with a man in his 20s trapped inside.
Crew commander Paul Derrick, from Winchester fire station: "It was our first call with the air ambulance. We worked together to release a man from a car."
Mr Derrick called on drivers to take account of the wet weather.
"They should take extra care driving in this weather and leave extra time for their journeys," he said.
The Air Ambulance is based at Thruxton and began operating last weekend.
