Charitable Lynne Humphrey pulled on her motorcycle leathers to join a bike ride in memory of her husband Ray, who died after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ray, who was passionate about motorcyling, belonged to the Southampton and District Motorcycle Club.
A well known photographer, he died last October just after his 55th birthday.
It was when her husband began to grow ill that 54-year-old Lynne, who lives in Eastleigh, decided that she would learn to ride a motorcycle.
Over the bank holiday hundreds of motorcyclists gathered at the car park in Woodside Avenue for the start of The Ray Humphrey's Memorial Run to The White Horse Inn, Priors Dean.
Despite battling with his illness Ray had raised £1,500 for Pancreatic Cancer UK but he always wanted to hit the £5,000 target.
With various other fundraising events, the total stood at £4,190 and Lynne now hopes the final figure will reach £5,000.
