Police renew appeal for witnesses to rape POLICE were today renewing their appeal for witnesses as they continued their hunt for two men who raped a 40-year-old woman near a Southampton park.

The men talked to the woman who had been in the Walkabout pub in the High Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

At about 2.15am she walked past Jongleurs and the Bargate.

Police believe that the victim was then hit over the head and raped somewhere near Palmerston Park.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two men who are both described as aged about 20 years old and of Asian or Middle Eastern appearance.
