Judges attend annual cathedral service

WINCHESTER Cathedral welcomed Hampshire's judges and a host of other dignitaries for an annual service yesterday (October 14).

The service takes place every October to coincide with the start of the new legal year.

It was attended by judges, magistrates and representatives of the civic and legal bodies of Hampshire and the Channel Islands, including the chief constable of Hampshire police and the president of the Law Society for the county.

Several High Court judges were also at the event, which included a fanfare from the Bugles of The Rifles.
