A BIG black cat described as definitely not a pet' has been spotted in Overton's Sapley Lane Skate Park.

A woman reported seeing a three-foot-long black cat jump over her garden fence.

Overton beat officer Pc Richard Baldwin said: "The woman is a pet owner herself and she stated quite categorically it was not a domestic cat.

"There have been sightings in the Candover valley and Winchester in the last few years and someone from Overton said they saw a large black cat just off Station Road a year or two ago. I don't want to worry people, but we have to take for granted what we have been told.

"We completed a full search of the area and there have been no sightings since then."
