TWO grandparents have been thrown out of a Hampshire shopping centre after being told they posed a terrorist threat because they had taken photographs of their grandchildren.
Ex-pats Kim and Trevor Sparshott were ejected from Fareham Shopping Centre while on a visit to relatives from their home in Spain.
A security guard swooped on the couple as they captured the moment they surprised their grandchildren by arriving at the centre unannounced.
The Sparshotts said they were told cameras are banned from the centre because of the terrorist threat.
The official then ordered them to leave and told the couple they were banned for life from returning.
Shopping centre manager Pam Gillard said taking photographs without prior permission is banned because of the security risk, but added that the Sparshotts were welcome back to the centre anytime.

I agree they should of been banned from the shopping centre its also a risk that perverts will be taking pictures of children you can never be to careful, any way who in there right minds want to take pics of kids in shopping centres.

This is just another case of one rule for one & another rule for another as shopping centres take pictures all the time with their CCTV cameras.

This is some grandparents surprising their family, a moment most humans with the technology would want to capture. I just dare someone to try and stop me taking a photo of MY kids whereever I am! The world isn't made up of perverts the grand majority of us are good honest individuals who love our family. If I were a terrorist I could walk through Fareham Shoping Centre and record everything. Stick a camera phone to your ear pretend to talk all while recording. You wouldn't point the latest camera boasting loads of "peggymitchells" saying smile for grandma would you. My rant is nearly at an end. I haven't read anything else after this post. This waste of space caught my attention. Everyone except this person is entitled to an opinion. OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH I'M CROSS!

Anyone up for an organised "flash photo-shoot" at this shopping centre? Be fun seeing them try and throw 100 or so people with cameras out all at the same time

People like you teach the children of the future and then moan about the youth of today. But as a poof I agree there is something wrong when a genuine caring grandparent cannot take innocent pictures of their grand-children.

I know that this is completely irrelevant BUT to the numpty writing about "Homos and Lesbians" adopting, do you really think that what you said has any other effect than provoking anger from people. There a millions of children in this world who through no fault of their own need adopting, so why not by a lesbian or "homo" as you so nicely put it. How dare you comment on a subject I ASSUME you know nothing about and how dare judge someone by how they live their lives.

I guess it's reassuring to know that you on the other side of the pond have a similar number of people with their head up their arses. That said, it's also good to know that the overwhelming majority of you don't. But then, why is it that we regular folks seem to have lost control of our society to the foolish? This story, like scores of similar ones, would be funny if it weren't so damned depressing.
