POLICE are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian with a broken leg.
A 34-year-old man was walking along Red Barn Lane in Fareham yesterday when a car mounted the pavement and struck him from behind. The vehicle responsible then left the scene.
The injured man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, suffering from a broken leg.
PC Becky Starks said: "Unfortunately, the man does not remember any details about the car and we are appealing for the public's help in tracking down the person responsible.
"I would ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident took place to contact police as soon as possible."
Anyone with information about the incident which happened at 10pm on Wednesday January 16 should contact Fareham police station on 0845 045 4545 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
