ROCKERS The Cribs are on their way to The Pyramids in Southsea to headline the Shockwaves NME awards tour, supported by art-rockers Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and The Ting-Tings.

The acts follow in the illustrious footsteps of Stereophonics, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and Arctic Monkeys.

Three-piece The Cribs, from Wakefield, consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross.

Known for their raucous, unpredictable live shows, the band have built up a fanatical following on the road.

Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong are also tipped for the top, featured in the BBC's Sound of 2008 poll and have been booked for a number of festival appearances this summer including Isle of Wight in June.
