A MAN found dead in woods near Winchester has been named by police.
Officers discovered the body of 70-year-old Anthony Howard Shell, of Allbrook Hill, Eastleigh, in woodland near to Marwell Zoo at Colden Common at about 5.15am this morning (February 20).
Mr Shell had been missing since leaving his home on Monday, February 18, at about 2.30pm.
He said he was travelling to Winchester in his car but did not return.
Mr Shell was suffering from a long-term illness and was extremely frail.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and police said they had passed the case to the coroner.
