A CASH windfall will help Hamble to present and preserve its heritage.

The Hamble Local History Society has clinched a £2,100 grant from the National Lottery Awards for All scheme.

Chairman Ian Underdown said the society would be able to buy computer equipment to help with presentations.

It would also be used for recordkeeping and enhancing and storing photographs.

Details of future meetings and information about the society's activities can be found at hamble localhistory.hampshire.org.uk.
