HOLLYWOOD hunk Johnny Depp has already pledged his support.

Now the Queen of Darkness and the Hamster have vowed to help.

X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne and Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond have agreed to record a tape of commands to help wake up Hampshire teenager Sophie Wilkinson.

The 17-year-old from Bishop's Waltham has been in a coma since suffering life-threatening head injuries after a horrific car crash last October in Swanmore.

Over the past six months her family have kept vigil at her bedside while searching for the key that will bring Sophie out of her deep sleep.

Their search has already led them to Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, who agreed to record a tape of physical commands for Sophie in the voice of his character, Captain Jack Sparrow.

Now Sophie's parents, Andrew and Alison, are looking to get as many celebrity voices involved as possible and hope to set up their own charity in Sophie's name, called Wake Up.

Alison said: "When someone is in a coma it's important to find that key' to unlocking them out of the coma. It could be a smell, a sound or a voice.

"In Sophie's case we knew she was a huge fan of Johnny so we thought that if she heard his voice it may wake her.

"We realised what a great idea it would be to have a bank of celebrity voices reading out specific commands that the doctors have issued.

"No matter who a person's favourite star is, their family could get a tape from our Wake Up bank.

"Nobody knows what the right key' will be but anything is worth a try, and if we can make that easier for families in our situation it will be worth it."

Andrew added: "We were over the moon when Johnny agreed to record a tape and now more stars are signing up it's fantastic."

If I was in a coma the last thing I would want to hear is Sharon Osborne prattling on about something (probably herself).

With a chav name like 'Shazza' thats the sort of comment I would expect, this family is going through hell and thats the best comment you can come up with, either grow up or shut up. I think the idea of setting up a 'WAKE UP' is great and I hope it helps their daughter. Good luck to you all.

Sharon Osborne is an irrelevant "celebrity" and a total waste of space.

Another disrespectful half-wit!
I think the bank is an excellent idea and wish them every success.Even at a difficult time like this its inspirational to see the family thinking of others.
