Forest blaze sparked by broken glass

A BLAZE which spread across an acre of New Forest undergrowth last night is thought to have been sparked by light shining through broken glass.
Fire crews were called to the land, near Bransgore, at around 7.45pm amid reports smoke was coming from an area spanning around half a hectare.
Teams from Burley, New Milton and Ringwood spent more than two hours dampening the undergrowth at Stibbs Copse off Burley Road.
Investigators believe glass could have caused the blaze but are not treating the incident as suspicious
