A MAN has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in Dummer, near Basingstoke.
Hampshire detectives investigating the crime arrested a 27-year-old man in London yesterday and brought him back to the county for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary O'Flaherty, from the major crime department, said: "This arrest is just one part of an ongoing investigation and we're continuing to appeal for information and witnesses to this crime. We're also still trying to identify the woman and would ask anyone with any information to contact police."
Anyone with any information should contact Operation Fletcher by calling 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The woman's body was found by a dog walker in the small village last Thursday (May 8).
