Rush for wedding dresses

Following the sudden closure of Perfect Days Bridalwear Ltd in Southampton and Arvella Bridal in Lyndhurst wedding stores across the Hampshire have been inundated with requests to rescue dozens of bride's special day.

A Bride-2-Bee in Warsash is helping those customers who ordered Pronovias gowns and will offer discounts to Arvella brides.

Brides of Southampton in Portswood have taken more than 30 customers from Arvella Bridal and seven orders from brides let down by Perfect Days.

Shelley Jory, from the store said: "We have taken over 90 per cent of designer orders from Arvella and are in contact with suppliers."

Wedded Bliss Bridal Studio in Purlieu Court, Dibden Purlieu, has also made contact with designers to help brides-to-be.

Owner Tara Reddish said: "We have orders for designers Charlotte Baulbier and Amanda Wyatt."
