A 21-year-old had his face slashed in a knife attack on a Southampton street.
He was making his way home from a friend's house in the early hours when he was confronted by a man next to Redbridge Community School The man spoke to him and then started punching him before producing a knife.
The victim, who quickly fled, was left with slash marks to the face that required stitches and a fractured cheekbone.
His attacker is described as white with short cropped hair, about 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a striped top.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at about 3.30am on Saturday.
