The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

MICHAEL CORNEY, 43, of Shrubbs Avenue, Lymington pleaded guilty to drug driving on the slip road for junction seven of the M27 at Southampton. He was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro. Corney was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120. He must also pay £85 court costs plus a £48 surcharge. 

ANISA CAYNAB, 19, of Golden Grove, Southampton admitted to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis. Caynab received a six-month conditional discharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

SIMON MCCARTHY, 49, of Kendal Avenue, Southampton admitted to being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Shirley. He received an 18-month conditional discharge and must pay £85 court costs plus a £26 surcharge.

KIERAN SMITH, 25, of Mountain Ash Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance in a Vauxhall Corsa on Burgess Road, Southampton. He also admitted to drink driving after he was caught with 53 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Smith was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £166. He must pay £85 court costs plus a £66 surcharge. 

ARDIT TRUNI, 26, of Orchid Close, Chessington pleaded guilty to sending an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message in Southampton. He received an 18-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days and 120 hours of unpaid work. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim for the next year. Truni must pay £85 court costs. 

MURET YILDRIM, 18, of Elmsleigh Gardens, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in a private place, namely a zombie knife which he had at Elmsleigh Gardens. He also admitted to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, cannabis. He received a six-month conditional discharge and an order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of both the drugs and the knife. Yildrim must pay £85 court costs and a £26 surcharge.
