The city council has issued a travel warning ahead of a Saints game and cruise ships arriving this weekend.

Saints are due to play against Stoke City at St Mary's Stadium tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.

Tomorrow, three cruise ships will be arriving and departing: Iona, Sky Princess and Arcadia.

On Sunday, four cruise ships will be docking in Southampton: Queen Mary 2, Arvia, Queen Victoria and MSC Poesia.

On X, Southampton Travel, run by Southampton City Council, said: "This weekend is expected to be busy with cruise ships arriving/departing and high volumes of cruise passengers expected in the city, as well as a #SaintsFC home game at 3:00pm on Saturday.

Please plan any journeys to the waterfront in advance as it will be busy."
