Fun day fund booster

THE Queens Head in Ludgershall raised £950 for the Wednesday Club and the Sunset Club for pensioners in Ludgershall at its recent Family Fun Day.

The day started with John McConnell, his dog Max, and Fran McDermott taking part in a five-mile sponsored run.

Attractions throughout the day included a bouncy castle, face-painting, music and Irish bingo, as well as pony rides, name the bear and a raffle.

Landlady of the Queens Head, Jane Robinson said: "The day could not have been any better; it's our wonderful customers that have made this a success."

She added that her and husband Kevin wanted to extend their gratitude to Dave and Kim Baird for their help and John McConnell for his hard work.

The fund for the clubs stands at £2,400 and organisers say there's more to come.
