HEAVY rain at the weekend put a dampener on proceedings at the annual Vintage Working Weekend at Longstock but it didn't stop people determined to enjoy the event.

Saturday was almost a complete washout but exhibitors and visitors were still determined to enjoy the day.

This year the weekend was held to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

There were also scarecrow competitions planned to entertain the children as well as shire horses Emily and Duke displaying their finery.

It wasn't just farm-related items which were on display in Longstock.

A human toolbox, Kondoni, braved the rain to perform stunts, magic and illusion. Kondoni maintains he is a modern day Houdini with his tricks involving nails, hammers, drills and chains.

The weekend has been staged for many years now and is organised by the Upper Test Valley Vintage Club.
