Press conference of Southampton Leisure Holdings being in administration

THE administrators appointed at Southampton Leisure Holdings held a press conference at 1pm this afternoon.

Below is a live feed taken from that meeting.

Important points from the press conference include the revelation that the club may not exist come the end of the season unless a buyer is found.

It was also confirmed that Rupert Lowe, Michael Wilde and Andrew Cowen have left the boards of both Southampton Football Club and Southampton Leisure Holdings.

Administrator Mark Fry urged Saints fans to turn up in huge numbers to each of Saints' three remaining home games, to help make the club look like the attractive prospect it is.

He said that low attendances throughout the season had been disappointing and had possibly been putting potential suitors off investing in or buying the club.

There will be a full account of the press conference in the Daily Echo tomorrow.

More chance of finding a buyer if they see the support that this club has. 32K fans at St Marys for last game of last season so need all of those fans to turn up for the last 3 home games. No excuses now with prices reduced and Lowe gone for good!

I think we will get full houses now. Atrocious management by successive boards (although Lowe has to shoulder the majority of the blame) to get us to this point. Shame on them all.

There MUST be someone out there who cares enough to step in though, we cannot just let the club die. COYS!

This “administrator” seems to arguing with himself, on one hand he says PLC and the Club are separate, whilst he also says their finances are totally interlinked.

Let`s hope this buffoon ups his game.

So the club may be out of business by next season? What supporter would not be prepared to put in £20 now for the guarantee of a handful of tickets next season? Or on a similar scheme. Almost like a shortened version of the season ticket on a money-per-game basis. This would resolve the short-term cash-flow problems and prove to any potential investor that us fans are here for the club, and will continue watching and upporting the club whatever happens, thus making it a more attractve investment. So the club may be out of business by next season? come on guys support our fantastic club. I sooo hope we can find a buyer I love SFC to bits and if I had the money I would give it to them but sadly I dont, but I would be prepared to buy tickets and so on. I have a season ticket and would be prepared to renew. So please everyone come together for the last 3 games and support our fantastic club.

Come on we love this club, lets show how proud we really are and put our money where our mouths are, and at the same time show potential investors, the club is worth their time and effort!
