POLICE have arrested four men in connection with an alleged robbery of a taxi driver in a village near Winchester.
A group of around eight men is said to have attacked the 34-year-old driver after he took them from Basingstoke to Micheldever.
The gang repeatedly punched the victim before stealing his bank card, driving licence and £130 in cash.
The alledged attack happened between 11.30 and 11.45pm on Wednesday, July 8.
Initially police arrested a 22-year-old from Micheldever who was bailed unitl August 28.
Later two men aged 25 and 18, also from the Micheldever area, were arrested and bailed to the same date. A 21-year-old man from Berkshire was also arrested and bailed until August 28. All were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
