Innovative way to nab graffiti vandals

POLICE in Hampshire have launched an online identity parade of distinctive graffiti to catch prolific offenders.

People concerned about graffiti in their area can now take pictures of distinctive tags and upload them to a website.

The hope is that other people will identify the graffiti and be able to reveal who is behind it.

Each image needs to have information on where it was taken, such as the council district, the area and an exact location.

The launch of the website comes as part of a three-month campaign by Hampshire Constabulary during the summer to reduce graffiti across the county.

To view the graffiti tags in the gallery, visit crimestoppers-uk.org/in-your-area/south-east/hampshire-and-the-isle-of-wight/graffiti-gallery.

If you can identify any of the tags, you can use the online form or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
