A 17-year-old pedestrian is in hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car.
The accident between the silver Citroen Saxo and the man happened at 7.55pm last night on the West End Road, Bursledon.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance where his injuries have been described as serious but not life threatening.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact PC Chris Pile of Totton Roads Policing Unit on 0845 0454545.
