A TEENAGE son found his alcoholic father dead at a Winchester property, an inquest has heard.
Michael Vost, 17, made the discovery when he went to check on his dad, Martin, at a house in Sussex Street on Thursday, April 9.
Dr Adnan Al-Badri, a consultant pathologist at Winchester hospital, told the inquest last Wednesday that only small amounts of alcohol were found in Mr Vost’s system.
He said the 45-year-old’s heart and liver showed damage from alcohol but that he favoured the theory that Mr Vost had died following an epileptic fit.
Grahame Short, coroner for central Hampshire, recorded a verdict of death due to natural causes.
