Man bailed in false imprisonment investigation
A MAN arrested after a Southampton woman was beaten and held against her will has been bailed.
The 23-year-old victim managed to escape from an address in Derby Road last Tuesday.
On Friday detectives from Bitterne CID arrested a Southampton man in connection with the incident.
He has now been released on bail pending further inquiries until April 30.
Police continue to appeal for information from people in the Derby Road area, where police believe the woman was held and assaulted before she made her escape on Tuesday, February 9.
