PORTSMOUTH Football Club have made 85 employees redundant.
However, the club's CEO, Peter Storrie, who reportedly earns £1.4m a year, remains at Fratton Park, but has taken a 40 per cent pay cut.
The redundancies have been made by administrator Andrew Andronikou, as part of desperate attempts to reign in costs at the beleaguered club.
Staff who remain at the club have agreed to work fewer hours.
However, the players have not had their pay cut, as they are protected by the PFA.
Mr Andronikou also claimed the players are the 'shop window' that can be used to sell the club, so making them redundant would harm the chances of finding a buyer.
