A mystery object discovered in a Hampshire garden has turned out to be harmless.

The large metal ball was found buried in the back garden of a house at Lower Ashley Road in Ashley, near New Milton.

The house and a neighbouring property were evacuated amid fears it could be an explosive device from the First World War.
